The Seacoast area is a great for cycling. The link primarily focuses on road cycling. The Exeter Town Forest is a great location for mountain biking.

There are two sections of the Exeter Town Forest, Oaklands and Henderson-Swasey. They are used by hikers, mountain bikers, cross country skiers, snow shoers, and runners.

There are several public boat launches in the Exeter area. The Exeter Landing behind the McReel building and next to the Academy boat house is a great access point for kayakers and canoers wanting to enjoy the Squamscott River.
