Join in the fun at Exeter Hospital’s Putt Away Cancer Miniature Golf Tournament and Family Fun Event to be held at Sagamore Golf Center in North Hampton, NH. This community fundraising event includes an 18 hole miniature golf tournament, golf contests, prizes/raffles, activities offered through The First Tee®, face painting, and much more!
Proceeds support The Beyond the Rainbow Fund at Exeter Hospital which provides financial assistance to local cancer patients.
Costs: Mini-Golf Tournament $10 / Competitions: $5 for 3 attempts
Competitions Include: Longest Drive, Putting and Straightest Drive

No more cabbages, no more cukes, no more bounty for the cooks! Learn how to stretch your growing season into late fall, and even winter, at a hands-on workshop led by UNH Cooperative Extension’s Ron Christie from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The workshop is $15 per person or family, payable at the door and will be held at the Hilton Auditorium, Rockingham County Nursing Home, in Brentwood. To register, contact Ron Christie, at (603) 679-5616 or ron.christie@unh.edu. Because of limited space, registration is required.
The final workshop of this series is Wednesday, Sept. 26: Closing Your Garden, Assessing Your Success, and Planning for Next Year. Learn the steps for putting your garden to bed for the winter, assessing this year’s success, and planning for next year’s garden.

There is a 5:30 pm bird walk (bring binoculars) at Odiorne State Park before the program. Program will feature a presentation on shorebirds by Wayne Petersen, Director of the Important Bird Area (IBA) Program for Massachusetts Audubon.
More than two dozen shorebird species crowd our coastal beaches and salt marshes during autumn migration. This presentation will examine the natural history of shorebirds and will specifically consider shorebird classification, adaptations, nesting ecology, migration, and conservation. This is also the annual business meeting.
Reception with refreshments is at 6:30 pm. Welcome at 7:15 pm, program at 7:30 pm. Cancellations on WOKQ, 97.5 FM.

NEFAF 2012 promises an immersive weekend of astronomy-related activities and experiences for children, families, and people of all ages and expertise. Hosted by the UNH Physics Department and staffed, organized, and driven by members of the astronomical community from throughout New England, NEFAF promises to be a weekend that's not soon to be forgotten!
The 2012 NEFAF is being held at University of New Hampshire Observatory located on Spinney Lane in Durham, located on the west end of the campus, near the Old Durham Reservoir and is 100% absolutely FREE!

Main Street Art and the Seacoast Photographers Association present a unique collaboration between the two organizations, Yin and Yang will showcase the talent of over 30 area photographers who will be exhibiting more than 60 images on the gallery walls.
Gallery hours are Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm through October 20th.
In addition, there will be talks and workshops on a wide variety of photography related topics on Saturdays, starting September 22nd through October 20th from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. All are welcome!
